Verified Reviewer | Bristol, EnglandUnable to make contact with customer service
A returned faulty Switch Oled and to be told it's my fault and also be told she doesn't care as she walked away as she is leaving anyway. This was a so called manager!!
and probably best she is leaving the company. It's in warranty still and says on Argos site they're repair if possible or exchange.
So at the mo I'm left with a unusable £300 Switch. Btw I paid cash.
- Good choice of produts
- Bad communication and bad customer service
Preferred solution: A replacement
User's recommendation: Well I certainly won't be spending at Argos anymore.

Verified Reviewer | Roding, RedbridgeTôi có một sản phẩm nintendo switch oled bị lỗi và tôi cần các bạn sửa cái này
I used and bought Nintendo for the first time, my product had an error and couldn't connect to the internet. Then exactly 33 days later I took it out and asked why.
I need you to tell me the reason and see if it's the reason. It wasn't my fault, they just said they couldn't do anything and didn't specify why I caused the error.
Then I went back to check and saw that the first error recorded was 3 days after I bought it but after that it kept happening. It's your fault but while I can't even connect to the internet, I contacted Nintendo and they said they have to text you guys before Nintendo can process it for me.

Verified Reviewer | Morecambe, EnglandRefused return
I bought this item online and collected it yesterday, Friday 28th June, at the Morecambe Store. I found that the issues I had were with my electrics, but I had opened the box and switched it on, though I hadn't used it.
So, I didn't think there would be any issue with returning the item. I took it back to the Morecambe shop to find that the return was refused because there was a fingerprint on the outside and it had been switched on. I find this completely ridiculous. Who buys something without taking it out of the box and switching it on?
It was not used, and it was quite obvious it hadn't been used. I also bought an extended warranty in the belief the one I owned that I'd had for less than 2 years I spend more than 2 hours chatting via AI and phoning several places to try to resolve this and cancel the insurance as if I'm not returning the fryer and not using it until my previous one breaks the 2 years might be up before I use it.

Verified Reviewer | Hamilton, ScotlandComplaint
Hi there, I'm looking to see how I file
a complaint about how I have been treated.
I have not been sent my reservation details. Then, when trying to get the order cancelled, it took me 2 attempts to call up.
And then today, when I called to see if there's an update on my complaint that I put in, she would not listen to me. She talked over me then hung up on me because I told her she was talking far too fast and not listening to me when I was talking.

Preferred solution: Compensation on how I have been treated I had paid taxi fair to go down and get it and told I can’t cause the store could not find my order

Verified ReviewerHot water bottle burned me
I bought a hot water bottle and, four to five months later, with normal use, it split and I got burned. The Argos customer support team seems to have difficulty understanding and addressing my concerns properly.
They don't go beyond script-reading, which feels robotic and impersonal. I have a serious product safety and quality control issue that requires attention from higher up in the Argos management ranks, and I believe I should be compensated for this incident with the hot water bottle.
Currently, I'm in the hospital with nurse witnesses to corroborate my story. I'm seeking compensation and contact from the Quality Control or Product Safety department at Argos, so I can share the photos and other related information about this incident.
- Quick and easy products

Verified Reviewer | Sittingbourne, EnglandDamaged Phone
Dear Argos Customer Service,
I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the service I have received from your Argos Sittingbourne store regarding a damaged phone purchase.
On [date of purchase], I bought two Honor X6a phones for my teenagers, details as follows:
- Honor X6a (item number 313/1787)
- Honor X6a (item number 313/1794)
Prior to purchasing these phones, I specifically inquired about insurance coverage. Helen from the Argos Sittingbourne store assured me that while insurance was not available, any issues would be covered under the warranty.
To my dismay, one of the phones was found to be damaged upon opening.
I returned to the store almost immediately with my children to resolve the issue, only to be told to bring the second phone's packaging. On a subsequent visit, I was informed that the phone would be replaced if I brought the receipt, which I did. Despite these efforts and assurances, this is now my fifth visit, and I was met with hostility and a refusal to assist by a staff member named Jayde, who harshly stated that nothing could be done except to contact customer service.
The repeated visits have caused significant inconvenience, stress, and unnecessary expenditure on petrol, driving from Sheerness to Sittingbourne five times. This experience has been exceedingly frustrating and has negatively impacted both myself and my children.
Given the circumstances, I am formally requesting the following:
1.
Immediate replacement of the damaged phone.
2.
Compensation for the undue stress, neglect, and poor treatment experienced by myself and my children.
I trust that Argos will take swift action to resolve this matter and prevent such incidents from recurring. I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution to this complaint.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
Sincerely,
Mathias Alemayo

Verified ReviewerARGOS REFUSAL TO ACCEPT THE ENGAGEMENT RING RETURN
I bought an engagement ring from Argos Uxbridge road ,Hampton branch in London on 29/03/2024. On my engagement day I discovered that the ring size was small and very tight on my fiancee's finger.
Me and my fiancee agreed to have the ring returned to Argos so we can exchange for a bigger size. We got to the store and managed to see the manager who collected the ring for about five minutes and then returned only to tell us that he wasn't going to accept the ring because it was bent and he refused to do a return. I couldn't believe his reaction because as far as I was concerned the ring was in the same state I collected it from the store upon paying for it. We were very disappointed because the manager wasn't even willing to listen to what we were saying to him.
This happened on monday the 1st of April.2024. I then decided to go to another Argos store in hounslow yesterday wednesday 4th April, 2024 to my surprise the store refused to accept the ring. We are now stuck with an engagement ring I paid £249.99 for and not knowing what to do next. I have sent an email to the CEO Mr.
Mark Mccaffery to see how Argos can help me and have the ring exchanged for a size 'O' which is better than size 'N' .The order number on the receipt is 022 and the catalogue number of the ring is 409/5152. Can you please let me know what to do next so I can have the correct rong size nymber.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. I can send the copy of the receipt if you want me to.
- There normally quite efficient
Preferred solution: To have the ring exchanged to a correct size

As a result I cannot return by post because bought it in the store and cannot return in the store, because you have not professional and rood staff.

Delivery was paid for; it was from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It was outside when I woke up, a minute past 8. No one knocked; they didn't inform me they were coming. It's unacceptable behaviour. The microwave was really sticky; it didn't smell new...
I've spent thousands at Argos.
I won't be shopping there ever again. It didn't smell brand new.

Argos was helpful to me to sort the problem out. And understanding.
To the problem. And ask when sorted.
I was verbally and abused and physically intimidated by an in store Argos member of staff
I was verbally insulted and physically intimidated by a member of staff at an Argos store on Friday 2nd August. I reported the incident to Argos via their customer service department by telephone the following day, Saturday 3rd August and was told that I would receive a call / get a response within 48 hours - I didnt.
I called again on Tuesday 6th August to ask if I was going to get a response to my complaint and was told that I would receive a telephone call within 24 hours - I didnt.
It has now been 2 weeks since I was abused in one of your stores and I havent had a response to my complaint. Argos is plainly an organisation that treats its customers with contempt.

Preferred solution: You need to sand it to me new today and I get full refund too
User's recommendation: You're always supposed to check products before shipping, and it doesn't do me any good because today is my son's birthday and he's really looking forward to seeing what he wants. But in the end,... You made a mistake and it was wrong.
